Exploring the “Library of Things” ILA AC 2017

I had a great time speaking with my fellow panelists at the Illinois Library Association Annual Conference. Our presentation, Exploring the “Library of Things” covered a variety of ways to develop an alternative items collection, with panelists from Cary Area Public Library, Mount Prospect Public Library, and our portion from the Elmhurst Public Library. I was pleasantly surprised that while our presentation was held at 4pm (the last session of the day), we still had a great turnout of about forty to fifty people!

If you’re interested in circulating unusual items at your library (including board games), take a look at our presentations hosted at the ILA AC website, and thanks so much to ILA for hosting a great conference!
